As of 3 November 2026, Rockstar says the GTA VI pre-load will require up to 212 GB, depending on your device. That is a pre-load requirement, not a promise that every console's final installed size will be identical.

How much space should I clear?

Start by ensuring at least the stated 212 GB is available. Practical extra breathing room is sensible for updates and console housekeeping, but Rockstar has not specified an additional universal requirement.

Where do I check?

• PS5: Open Settings, then Storage.
• Xbox Series X|S: Open My games & apps, then Manage and Storage devices.

Delete or move games you do not currently use, then revisit the pre-load guide before 10 November.
